Bio

My life began in 1981 in a town in Southern Utah called Cedar City. Although it has grown significantly since I was a kid, it would still be considered a small town. I graduated from Cedar City High School in 1999 and began college at Southern Utah University that same year. After bouncing around from major to major for a few years, I decided to get certified in personal training. It was then that I realized what I really wanted to do with my life: help people better their lives through fitness. I now have my degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition from the University of Utah.

HOBBIES/INTERESTS
I have two main passions in life. The first is fitness/bodybuilding. Believe it or not, my addiction for staying in shape began while I was in the scouting program. I had to choose a required merit badge to move up in rank, so I decided on personal fitness. During my quest to attain this coveted badge of merit, I had to design a workout plan for myself and stick to it for three months. I put together a plan consisting of push-ups, crunches, pull-ups, running stairs, jumping rope and doing sprints.

I stuck to the plan faithfully and, although I was only 13 years old, I started seeing definition in my physique and I felt incredible! After the three months were up and I had fulfilled all the requirements for the merit badge, I didn't want it to end. I began to read and study about bodybuilding. I learned how certain exercises worked specific muscle groups and how to properly do the exercise. I fell in love with working out in the weight room and kept it up from junior high until now.

In 2000, I entered and won my first bodybuilding competition. My title was the Utah Cup Teenage Overall Bodybuilding Champion (a little long winded I know!). From there, I competed in several local shows and internationally on the Musclemania circuit. Today, I no longer compete in bodybuilding, but I continue to improve each day on my physique and I know that my best is yet to come!

Now for my second passion: basketball. I LOVE NBA Basketball! If basketball was a subject in school, I would definitely be the nerdy kid. I know every team, every player, every stat, who was drafted when and where, everything! I have followed the NBA ever since I was about 7 years old and I still follow it religiously. Now you are probably saying to yourself, "why don't you get a life!" Well, I have to have something to do to get through the cold winters in Utah. Besides, I really enjoy it! I also enjoy playing it. I don't profess to be God's gift to the game, but I have some pretty decent juke moves and a nice jump shot! I love to talk b-ball, so if you share the same passion, send me an email. I could talk about it forever!

MY ART
Although I'm considered a fitness model, I think of myself as an artist. Ever since I was eight years old, I have had an affinity for Ancient Greek statues. I've always been fascinated with their cultures perception of the ideal male athlete and appreciation for physical aesthetics. They exuded class, grace and finesse.

From that moment on, my goal was to attain a body worthy of being etched out of stone by a sculpture and his creative genius. Presently, I still have that mindset and always will until the day I die. Every photo I take has artistic value through my eyes. I work hard to sculpt my body each and every day and you better believe I'm going to put it on display, despite what anybody thinks! I respect my body and am very fortunate to have known this was going to be my path in life since I was eight years old.

PHILOSOPHY
So why the fuzz do I live in Utah and not LA or New York? First of all, I love it here. Utah is gorgeous! I love the scenery and it isn't crowded (yet!). Second, I am a realist. I'm not going anywhere until I have the proper training to make it in life, not just in modeling/acting. I don't get stars in my eyes thinking about moving to LA and being the next big thing. I think about what is going to make me happy. Although being a big movie star making millions of dollars would probably be enough to make anyone happy, it is important to have your education to back you up, just in case you don't have every movie company and modeling agency knocking down your door!

My main code that I live by is to learn to laugh at yourself. Don't take yourself too seriously. Have a sense of humor because nobody likes to be around a person who never smiles or laughs. I also don't believe in judging people. After all, God is the only one who has the right to do that. Just be yourself and be proud of who you are.
