Bio

My life began in 1981 in a town in Southern Utah called Cedar City. Although it has grown significantly since I was a kid, it would still be considered a small town. I graduated from Cedar City High School in 1999. I then attended college at the University of Utah , where I completed my degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition. Aside from fitness modeling, I am an exercise therapist, specifically working with patients recovering from heart surgery, at Intermountain Medical Center.

MY PASSION
Believe it or not, my passion for fitness began while I was in the scouting program. I had to choose a required merit badge to move up in rank, so I decided on personal fitness. During my quest to attain this merit badge, I had to design a workout plan for myself and stick to it for three months. I put together a plan consisting of push-ups, crunches, pull-ups, running stairs, jumping rope and doing sprints.

I stuck to the plan faithfully and, although I was only 13 years old, I started seeing definition in my physique and I felt incredible! After the three months were up and I had fulfilled all the requirements for the merit badge, I didn't want it to end. I began to read and study about bodybuilding. I learned how certain exercises worked specific muscle groups and how to properly do the exercise. I fell in love with working out in the weight room and kept it up from junior high until now.

In 2000, I entered and won my first bodybuilding competition. My title was the Utah Cup Teenage Overall Bodybuilding Champion (a little long winded I know!). From there, I competed in several local shows and internationally on the Musclemania circuit. Today, I mainly focus on fitness modeling and I continue to improve each day on my physique.

MY ART
Although I'm considered a fitness model, I think of myself as an artist. Ever since I was eight years old, I have had an affinity for Ancient Greek statues. I've always been fascinated with their cultures perception of the ideal male athlete and appreciation for physical aesthetics. They exuded class, grace and finesse.

From that moment on, my goal was to attain a body worthy of being etched out of stone by a sculpture and his creative genius. Presently, I still have that mindset and always will until the day I die. Every photo I take has artistic value through my eyes. I work hard to sculpt my physique each and every day. I respect my body and am very fortunate to have known this was going to be my path in life since I was very young.

PHILOSOPHY
My main code that I live by is to learn to laugh at yourself. Don't take yourself too seriously and have a sense of humor. One of my pet peeves is people who have the personality of a wet towel. Life is fleeting and we should all enjoy the time we've been given.
